Tuesday, M. and I picked tze bebe up from school, and swung down to catch Arthur And The Invisibles at the Majestic. The movie was, well, pretty bad. It's not so much fast-paced as chaotic, with things happening for no reason, pass offscreen with no explanation, and no payoff for them in the end. There's a number of famous voices involved, but more than a few of them are throwaway lines, making me curious why they bothered.
Tze bebe enjoyed it well enough, but I would be surprised if she asks to see it again.
However, I still need soundclips of all David Bowie's lines, including where he confesses to kissing a weevil. No, really. And in case you're wondering, no, it didn't make more sense in context, and no, there was no point to it later on.
* The Last Mimzy - Huh. Weird trailer, almost creepy, about kids developing powers, and maybe learning them from their toys, or something. Very strange feel, definitely not standard kids fare. Will have to read more about this one later.
* Bridge to Terabithia - Never read the book, but this most recent trailer looks good. Shooting for the fantasy crowd, and nothing wrong with that.
* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Yep, all CGI. Yep, looks awful. Really.
