this, that
So, in City of Heroes, I haven't played a Controller in a good long time, having decided eons ago that Blasters and Scrappers fit my playstyle best. However, due to some weird Graviton-related obsession, I put together a Gravity/kinetics alt a bit back. And man, I have to confess, it's good times. Not only can I solo effectively, I'm pretty impressed with how well the powers fit together. And I haven't even hit my stride with leveling, either. Still can't take a yellow mob in Perez solo, but hey, you gotta dream.

The wireless is still a bit too unreliable to team effectively, which is disappointing. I think at this point I'm just going to have Comcast come back and run wire across the house. Gaming is important, damnit.

Speaking of superheroes, check out these questions with the creator of Heroes. (spoiler-free)

In less dorky news, don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight, my peeps. Enjoy that extra hour of Halloween partying.

My favorite character to date was my Gravity/Weather Controller.

Weather always seemed like one of those things that would be great, if I put a lot of time and effort into it.

I'm sure this argument won't move you, but...play Supersystem (2nd ed). It's awesome Super Hero fun, there's a Ph.D. Gorilla as the bad guy, and you get to roll a dozen dice for each action. And IT'S MINIATURES! Check it out on oldglory.com.

We'll have to find time to give the new edition a try at DW or so.

Interview w/ Heroes creator
As a fan, I do not appreciate his "answer" #5. He could have used anyone EXCEPT Spiderman for that analogy to work.
That's probably why I always loved Spiderman the most...

Re: Interview w/ Heroes creator
Well, admittedly, Spidey didn't first go out and be a superhero, he tried to cash in as a pro wrestler.
