On this day in 1804, Lt. Stephen Decatur led a successful raid into Tripoli Harbor to burn the U.S. Navy frigate "Philadelphia," which had fallen into the hands of pirates. You know, if they mentioned pirates a little more often in history classes, more students would pay attention.

Friday night was an impromptu session of Heroclix (since Anne and I were stuck home babying already, and Goblin and Clive were also free. We were later joined by Regent (who even played a game!) and Norton (who didn't, but that's OK.) Anyways. Goblin showed us the true power of the Sentinel. And, dizzamn. Go go Goblin!

Saturday, much time was spent worrying about The Great Blizzard. We watched Cheaters on HBO, which is pretty good, consider it recommended. Around 8, we figured it wasn't going to ice storm, so we called my parents, and they came over to watch zhe bebe. Instead of hitting Cryfest (which makes me cry) we just hit Muvico for DuClaw (where I proved I like the blonde ale better than their pale ale) and a late show of Shanghai Knights. (It's good. Maybe not as innovative as the first one, but you can do a lot worse than Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan on screen for two hours. And British jokes! Entertaining.)

Before it, however, we say the movie poster for Identity (which has my attention; it has Jake Busey!) and the poster and then the trailer for Willard starring Crispin Glover! Which I don't think I will be able to watch because of something icky in the trailer. But anyways.

Now, I am stalling over a list of things I have to do today, topped by doing something about the giant snowdrifts surrounding my house.
