Huh
So, attended the awards ceremony for Selene's one-act play festival this morning in La Plata. Weirdly, ran into two people from my past. First was Kelly S., who used to work with us. (She never remembered me back then, so I didn't bug her today.) Secondly, ran into Sheila Hyman, my photography teacher and drama sponsor from high school. (Ripper, she says hi.) She lives in the area these days, and works with the local theater community. So strange seeing people from back then.

Anyway, that is the only thing in La Plata I am familiar with, but if it's not even there....

Re: No?
They got hit with a HUGE tornado a few years back... most things in LaPlata aren't there anymore...

We were at the Port Tobacco Player's Theater.

I stayed in touch with Sheila for years, but we lost touch a few years back. Do you have a number, address, or such? And is she still with Bryan?
PMMJ: I want to believe.cheetahmaster on February 13th, 2006 04:50 pm (UTC)
I didn't get any contact info, sadly. And she's been married for a good long time now; I *believe* his name was Bryan.

Yay, glad they're still married. They're good together and it's so nice to see some of the good relationships really work out. Was a sweet wedding, too (though her Mom had quite the hissy that her dragon tattoo showed with the plunging back of her wedding dress heee). Will have to keep trying to figure out how to reach her these days.

Oh, and looky...she's quoted in the Post here.

Woah, Sheila Hyman! I remember she replaced the very old-school drama teacher and she had nails painted the m-n-m colors one day, which I thought was cool. And the photography/darkroom thing, but I wasn't into that.

I've been ill. An update will follow one day.
