Attention Toltec, Agent Dieter, Operative X, Regent, Iceman, and all you other Cronenberg fans out there (and I know there's a lot of you, even if you don't admit it in public.) I've been waiting to make this post, but had to wait for them to update their website.

David Cronenberg: A Complete Retrospective
January 13 through February 22

The AFI is hosting a film series of Mr. Cronenberg's works, at the AFI Silver in Silver Spring.

The list:
The Brood
Dead Ringers
The Dead Zone
Fast Company
The Fly
A History of Violence
M. Butterfly
Naked Lunch

and two early works.

I'm definitely interested in over half of these, so if you're making plans to attend, let me know. Er, unless you're going to watch Dead Ringers, in which case I'm busy doing, uh, anything other than that.

Personally, I will be making plans to catch Crash and Spider, neither of which I have seen. I'd also love to see Videodrome and eXistenZ on the big screen.

I am in like Flynn. I haven't seen Naked Lunch since the early '90's so I'd be intersted in that and I've never seen shivers or A history of violence M. Butterfly I've never heard of Fast Company. It would be great to see Videodrome and Scanners on the big screen!

As noted previously, I'm a big fan of A History of Violence.

OH~ And Spider of course! That's in my Netflix queue but I'd gladly remove it to see it on the big screen.

How could you not have seen Crash?!?!

I am a bit exuberant on that one since I like Ballard and Cronenberg so I think anyone I remotely know should have seen it.

And, yum!! Creepy Jeremy Irons! How delicious! Granted, I will still flee from any doctor with a slight resemblance to Jeremy Irons, but I love him in that roll.

I fully meant to see Crash, it just slipped by me. Time to rectify!

Crash and Spider are both in my queue but I would much rather see 'em on the big screen! Oh, I am all over this. Will have to pick and choose favorites. Also still never did see History of Violence!

Man, when I saw "Dead Ringers," I was younger than anyone seeing that movie should have been.

Then again, maybe that was for the best.

Same here! I remember it being creepy but not as creepy as it might have been had I been more aware.

I am planning on going to see the early works (2/19). Would be interested in Spider this weekend!

And I think I'm still too young to see Crash.

I just got the AFI Preview magazine in the mail a few days ago, and boy was I pleased.

I will point out that M.Butterfly is unavailable on DVD, so a chance to see it is rare.

Dead Ringers is one of my favorite Cronenberg movies, but i can understand why some people are... averse.
