Back from family holiday shenanigans, got laundry going, just finished some more dishes by hand (there's a light at the end of the dishes tunnel, I tell you.)

My younger sister Patches hosted yet another lovely family gathering at her new house in Lusby (90-ish miles, about two hours from Baltimore.) As always, plenty of tasty chow, but the crowning achievement this time was that she has perfected my departed Nana's soda bread recipe. Mmmm. Had to fight my dad to steal a piece to take home (luckily, got an assist from the mom there.) And as always, my parents spoiled me terribly with many gifts. Yay Amazon wishlist. Nephew was a hyperactive treat as well, Oddly, we had episodes of Avatar playing for most of the celebration; my dad made some amusing comments, as we tried to explain it to him now and then. ("No, the flying bison isn't anything special. They just have them around.") Older sister Ripper also brought along one of her friends, who is always a fun person to have around.

Yesterday was hanging out with JubJub. A failed attempt at Eggspectations lead us to the tasty noodle place in Columbia. Hooray for the Chinese and their heathen cuisine. Afterwards, much good chatting and an episode of the new Doctor Who that, in fact, won me over on the show. Foiled again. Oh, and she talked me back into PuzzlePirates, not that I was that hard to convince.

Hmmm. I'm totally forgetting something I meant to talk about here.

Later tonight, sending some pics to the girlfriend in South Carolina.
