Selene and I just finished watching Layer Cake, which was, in fact, pretty damn good. They advertise it with comparisons to Guy Ritchie's British crime action/comedies, but this was wasn't that much of a comedy. It is intense, well-acted, and enjoyable. And yes, there's some funny scenes. Well worth a viewing, if you like crime movies.

The directing was very good, also, and makes me with this guy did go ahead and make the third X-men movie. Seriously, he would have lived up to Singer's installments.

Oh, and the soundtrack was awesome. For real.
