Why do I have a livejournal?

I have a webpage I could just as easily update with a big ol' textfile, and write everything I want there. But as anyone who has been to my page has noticed, I'm not great about doing updates.

The major impetus, really, is to get my nose to the grindstone, and moving. A couple close friends have these livejournal things, which after a few months of prompting, convinced me to sign up.

It's not that I don't like writing. I love it. I just don't do it often enough. And I get plenty of ideas, mostly when I am trying to fall asleep, and I have scraps of paper everywhere containing ideas and thoughts of things about which I can and should write.

So, we come to this. Some tenets: despite my zodiac, I will always be honest here, because if you can't tell the truth to a random group of strangers on the inter-web, who can you be honest with? I will occasionally do top ten lists, because I am a bastard like that. I may even put in some fiction entries, because I can and you can't stop me. I will take requests from the vast audience I am sure will flock to my writing, so if you want to hear me ramble on something, feel free.

I will put in a bunch of quotes, because I like quotes. They may even be thematic.

And that's about it. More sooner or later.
