KARAOKE 1/14/05

Decently-sized crowd. Reports claim that Nuzback's cuisine is acceptable.

I would be remiss if I didn't thank our karaoke groupies Velvet and Optimus (a.k.a., Mr. Weintraub) for coming out to join us.

And many thanks to my sister Ripper for bebesitting, and making all this possible.

SONGS DONE:
McShifty: Dynamite Hack, "Boyz N Da Hood" [radio edit]
Me: "In the Ghetto"
RQ: Gary Jules, "Mad World" (I'm so stealing this later on.)
(Ancient grandma-looking lady belted out "Blues in the Night, and was awesome.)
(DAMNIT someone beat me to "Bittersweet Symphony.")
(Around here, I declare that next time, McShifty and I will do a duet of "Push It" by Salt 'n' Peppa. if anyone has an MP3, I'd appreciate it.)
(Camo pants girl from the bar does "Teenage Dirtbag." Everyone is jealous they didn't think of it first.)
McShifty: "Sex and Candy" (!)
Me: "Bizarre Love Triangle"
RQ: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"
Spence: "Under Pressure" (Yes, he did both parts. Bastard.)
(OMG SOME CHICK JUST DID "Thriller"!!!)
(shaggy dude who knows Black Queen belted out "Rebel Yell.")
McShifty: "Nuthin' But A G Thang (!)
Me: Cheap Trick, "I Want You To Want Me"
RQ: "Like a Prayer"
Spence: the Darkness, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love"
(Then, some line dancing, to "Everybody Dance Now.") (I mean, not me, but yeah.)
Black Queen: Fiona Apple, "Shadowboxer"
McShifty: "Peaches"
Me: Cameo, "Word Up" (This is totally my new fave.)
RQ: "Hold On" (!)
Spence: "Bohemian Rhapsody"
...and then I went home, so if anything else needs adding, please comment below.

And if you read all the way down, your reward is... McShifty's pics from last night.
