Hit bank, hit post office, hit Starbucks (mmm, hot chocolate,) hit comic book store, hit police station (paying red-light camera ticket I didn't know about,) hit MVA a renewed registration. Man, this stuff is expensive.
Thursday was tze club for
gelfjenn's birthday. Drove up with Wallaby, had a lot of fun dancing and making fun of people. Also saw lots of folks I knew, too many to list here, other than the birthday girl herself who I saw all of three times. Heh. Place wasn't overly crowded, music wasn't overly great, but a good time was had by all, and that's what counts. Oh, and I drank a lot, but, yeah.Last night, hit Borders to spend gift cards, and then caught The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. I enjoyed the movie, yes. However. Definitely not my favorite of Anderson's works. The tone was as uneven as Owen Wilson's accent, and the flow shifted from long stretches of nothing interesting happening to either very funny bits or very surreal bits. Also, there were pirates, but not the cool kind. The cast was huge an awesome, I just felt a little left down we didn't get enough of most of them. So, all in all, decent, but, ehn.
Tonight, book club, then yesterday's Carnivale. At some point, sleep.
