1.) DIY Movement Spurs New Generation of Crafters
Gen-X knitters, beaders and other craftspeople emerged from the DIY, or do-it-yourself, movement. Now, they are selling their homemade tchotchkes online, at boutiques and at craft fairs.

2.) Report Suggests Remote Object Had Warmer Past
Quaoar is a huge ball of frozen rock and ice beyond Pluto that was discovered two years ago. A new report in Nature says Quaoar's ice must have been warmed at some point; the question is how. NPR's David Kestenbaum reports.

3.) Three Female Icons Retire from Soccer
