So, at first it was kind of funny that my car smelled like maple syrup when I turned on the heater. Then it happened when I turned on the vent as well. And then the defroster. And yesterday, some visible smoke from the vents when I turned on anything air-related. OK, so, not funny anymore.

Just called a couple mechanics, they both agreed (based on the symptoms) it was probably the heating coil, which is turns out isn't cheap and easy to replace. Which also means I'm gonna miss the ultra-cool Heroclix tourney tomorrow.

The only saving grace is that this waited until I was working again to break, so it can suck up all the money I've been making. *Awesome.*
