Halloween partay - fan-tastic. MOre details to follow.

After discussion at party, decided most people wouldn't want to spend $20 to hang out with me. Thusly, instead of clubbing on Thursday, I am leaning towards... Kara-oke! More details to follow.

In gorgeous Riverdale Park, next town south from College Park, in case you didn't know, the redneck bar two doors down from my house has karaoke, just starting up again after an ownership change. It's a dive bar, but those new-owners/old-regulars take a lot of pride in it.

Drinks are cheap, though not much variety on the top shelf, meaning that Jose Cuervo is the best tequila and Tanqueray the best gin. Both kinds of beers are on tap, Bud and Bud Light. Bottle selection isn't great either with Sam Adams and Corona being the high end in the cooler.

Karaoke is Wednesday nights and Saturday nights. I have yet to go in this incarnation (actually, it hasn't restarted yet), but I'd love to get there. When I check it out I can give you a more thorough review and all you singing fools might be able to come this far south and join me in chorus. :)

So, this really isn't a stellar review, but the place is charming, and the enthusiasm of the owners and blue collar regulars is infectious. If they had a real hoppy microbrew I might move in there.

Keen, possibly worth trying in the future. (As I've already got plans for this Saturday.)

If you make it there before me, let me know how the music selection is.
