Watched the sparse DVD of The Dark Half last night. Really, it just made me want to re-read the book more than anything else. (It's probably my favorite King book.) Though the movie does have some effective things-jump-out-at-you moments. Timothy Hutton drifts around impersonating Kevin Kline and/or John Laroquette. Though it was good to see Michael Rooker starring as Sheriff Michael Rooker also. He's really the Fred Ward of our time.
* The wacky Bush administration tries to explain how them reversing their position repeatedly isn't them reversing their position repeatedly.
* Amnesty International is upset about the lack of human rights in our 'detention centers' (what, did they forget their Talibani hall passes?)
* In the 'they did it first!' department, Afghan warlords say the mass grave investigation should consider Taliban crimes. Because eye for an eye worked so well up to this point.
