"But it's been interesting to watch The WB sprout. On its first year on the press tour, all the critics showed up for the opening session, just to see what the heck it was all about, and then went golfing. Now The WB press day is standing room only -- not because its schedule is getting any better, but because The WB is madly scrambling to find its Next Big Hit, and desperation is always fun to watch."
-Andrew Ryan takes on the WB fall lineup

marag: Caught an episode of Static Shock today, which guest starred Batman (and Poison Ivy and Harley.) In it, Static asks Batman where Robin is, and Batman replies 'He's with th Titans now. You'll meet them eventually.' This established, Cartoon-Continuity-wise, which Robin it is in the Titans, as Static Shock is in the same continuity as Justice League which was in continuity with the Batman show.

msteleute: I can now officially say Robert Patrick will not be a regular on Stargate: Atlantis.

In other dork news, here's a bit on the upcoming Avengers cartoon, from ComicsContinuum.com:

The Avengers will be featured in Marvel's first made-for-video animated movie with Lions Gate Family Home Entertainment, with a target date of early 2006.

According to the Hollywood Report, the 66-minute film will be based on The Ultimates and will feature Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Giant-Man and Wasp.

Neither Lions Gate nor Marvel commented on creative personnel for the film, although The Continuum has learned it's possible some talent from the X-Men: Evolution series might be involved.

That's odd, because the producers specifically said they *weren't* going to ID which Robin it was. Huh.

Wait, but it doesn't change anything, now that I think about it, because Toon!Bats works with both Dick and Tim, so unless we know *where* in continuity Static Shock is, we're back where we started.

And I'm up in the middle of the night, so please excuse me if the preceding made no sense...

Well, technically, he wasn't identified in the Teen Titans show. You kinda have to work at it to figure it out.

Ye-ah, that didn't make sense.

Cartoon continuity:
- Batman show happens. Dick gets mad and leaves, becomes Nightwing, and we get new Robin Tim.
- Justice League takes place after the Batman show.
- Static Shock is concurrent with Justice League, as they've had a couple crossovers already.

Also, Dick left when he was in his late teens (I believe they even mention college, but don't quote me on that.) Definitely older than how they are portraying Titans Robin.

So, unless there's a loophole in which the current Teen Titans show takes place in the past, and they just never mentioned Robin taking time off on Batman, and this is the second group of Titans (which would explain where they got their headquarters,) it's all sealed up.

Yes they mention college
If you recall the Scarecrow episode (back when the animation was good) Scarecrow used his scare-toxin on Dick Grayson's college room-mate; the quarterback of the football team.
