Happy birthday to Queen Victoria, who was born on this day in 1819.

Also, happy anniversary to Iceman and his lovely wife.

More on this weekend...

Saturday, took advantage of babysitters to go see Mean Girls again. Seriously, liked it even more the first time.

Sunday was, as aforementioned, teh Thanksgrabbin'. I brought my video camera, and (hopefully) got some (hopefully) exciting footage. Not enough of course, but some. Including the frying of the turkey! More on this later if I can get it to transfer to real videotape. I don't think I taped anything too scary, but these things have happened in the past.

Spent a bit too much time outside, drinking a bit too much to go along with that, and thusly have a sunburned forehead now.

Got into decent political discussion! Well, mostly ranting about the situation, but hey. Guest Canadian aesir provided good contrasting opinions and information.

Also, fried turkey skin is pretty damn tasty.

Of the wines I bought, I confess the merlot was the one I had the most hope for, and the one I was the most disappointed by. Ah well.

I fully intended just to cool down in the basement while I was sobering up. I fully did not intend to fall asleep watching the crappy cartoon version of Lord of the Rings.

I also forgot to come up with a good nickname for angela_la_la, and on a related note, forgot to smuggle in canned cranberry sauce.

And, as per these large group gatherings, didn't get to talk to anyone enough, or meet enough people, but that's how these things go. Fun was had, etc.

Now to finish catching up on everything *else* that happened this weekend. To wit: WizWorld convention, Brassy's larp, GamesDay, wedding of a couple friends, etc.
