I wish I had seen Soderburgh's Solaris with a bunch of people, just so I could discuss it. I was very bored with the first half, there's a difference between making a quiet movie and just dragging out the pacing. The second half sorta made up for it. Sorta. The film doesn't sit right with me, and not in an 'I don't get it' sort of way. It is *no* way encourages me to go check out the original Russian version, though. Anyways.

Also caught WXIII Patlabor 3. Not enough, you know, Patlabors. In fact, a little wacky. Again, a nice complex plot, which is what drew me to the Patlabor series, and some decently human characters (if a bit Japanese.) But still, whole thing just felt sort of "off."
