The only actual new one was The Salton Sea. Contractually, I am forced to like any movie starring Luis Guzman, Adam Goldberg, R. Lee Ermey *and* BD Wong, but then they go and bring in Vincent D'Onofrio going way over the top (in a good way) and how can I resist? Combine that with the Oscar for "Best Use of a Badger in a Feature Film" and you've got yourself a winner. OK, actually, I was expecting something a little better. I'm not sure what, but something. Let's just say I liked our hero better at the beginning of the film than the end.
I can now say with authority the DVD for 3,000 Miles to Graceland is sorely lacking in special features. Maybe they are just waiting on the proper Criterion edition to be released? Full Metal Jacket, of course, still dominates. Oh, and that new song in The Lion King is nothing to write home about. And Jeremy Irons is still the best part of that film.
