I saw coverage about it on CNN on a couple of different days (our workplace kitchen has a large-screen TV panel w' CNN on all the time). I was dismayed that the feds pulled out -- and returned the cattle! I don't want another Ruby Ridge or Waco, but surely there's a lot of ground between needless slaughter of citizens, and totally caving to militias.

Right. I mean, I am no expert on how these ranching disputes are usually handled, but I don't see this guy deciding to play by the rules going forward now. So, yeah.
