OK, OK, I know you're all expecting me to rave about tonight's Angel just because it contained Mexican wrestlers. And I sort of will. However, let me just note how *completely awesome* it *would* have been had they gotten actual lucha wrestlers. In reality, they invented the high-flying style you only sometimes see in pro wrestling (Dona Quixote, think the Hardy Boyz, but on speed.)

But yes, it was a treat. I wish they hadn't given away so much with the commercials. Though Angel does have that deadpan look down.

* Gunn doing good! Again, I think he's gonna become more and more important here.
* Heh, Spike called 'shotgun.' Let me note this is two in a row where Spike hasn't annoyed me. Thank you, superior Angel writers.
* I am pro-flashback.
* Didja catch the name on the business card? Holland someoneorother? Hee.
* See Regent, since Wes got a few more lines this episode, they had to take them away from Lorne.
* Nifty theme, of why heroes do what they do, and Angel losing it.
* And heh, Spike giving advice related to poetry.
* Wes doesn't remember the prophecy of 'the father killing the son.' Hmmm.

*sigh*

I know, I know. I cannot WAIT until, uh, the things happen that make Wes more interesting this season. And giving Lorne ONE show per season - not good enough!

I liked last night's but was so sleepy...

Of course Wes doesn't remember the father/son prophecy. No one remembers Connor. I'm curious as to what they do remember as to why Wes went all psycho-loner on them last year.

Holland Manners.

Yeah, I actually really liked that bit where Wes didn't remember the prophecy thing. It's about the only bone they've thrown to the Connor situation, at least as far as people who aren't Angel are concerned.

Next week, yep, is what I'm waiting for.

Yes, I know he didn't remember. But that brings up, how *much* doesn't everyone remember? Does Wesley ever look in the mirror and wonder "where'd I get that cool scar on my neck"? Or get hospital bills (since I can't imagine Angel Investigations had good health insurance) he doesn't recall? It's a whole can of worms that needs to be discussed.

(And I knew Holland's last name, I was being coy.)

Are you thinking of Supernatural Law, which features the offices of Wolff & Byrd? The connection has been brought up by fans before (Wolfram & Hart has been around snce the first season of Angel) but nothing much was made of it.

Man, I am dense. Things I didn't get:

1. oh yeah, william the bloody awful. short memory here
2. father killing the son... oh yeah connor who?
3. Is the prophecy that whole friggin book? that's long!
