Netflixin': Lars and the Real Girl

OK, this is going to be one of those tricky reviews, so bear with me. I don't want to give too much of it away. Not that it's a M. Night surprisefest, but just because I don't want to taint your opinions before you watch it. Lars and the Real Girl is a great movie. It is not the romantic comedy that it was advertised as. At all. Whoever made that trailer needs to be fired. I was concerned it would be a little to, uh, indy for me. But again, no. It's an unexpectedly emotional movie with some genuine drama and yes, some laughs. Good characters, good writing, great acting. I'm rambling, but the point is, the movie is well worth your time. Thanks to rshackleford for convincing me to give it a go.
