Doomsday was a damn fine action movie, and pretty much everything I was expecting. The scenes that looked like they were ripped off of other awesome movies are, in fact, pretty straight up homages to them, with a couple clever clues left in to let us know. The casting for the, uh, natives was pretty magnificent (Viper!) And it should totally be sponsored by the Scotland Tourism Board. Highly recommended, if you're into that sort of thing. Also, now I want facial tattoos.

New trailers:
* The Strangers - Remake of a French horror movie, and no thanks.
* 88 Minutes - Ehn. Familiar-sounding plot, adequate cast, but Pacino might turn me off of this one.
* The Forbidden Kingdom - Kung fu fantasy flick with a brilliant cast. Looks like big fun. But, did we need a white guy? Also, disconcerting when you realize everyone is speaking English.
* The Incredible Hulk - The trailer alone is a better first movie than the, uh, first movie.

Fox refuses to pay FCC fine. Which prompts all the other stations to say 'wait, you can do that?!" Meanwhile, NBC and 30 Rock are pretty much just taunting the FCC.
