Commuting mystery: solved. Instead of taking the S2 down to Federal Triangle and catching a bus from there, I am just getting off the second bus at 16th and K, and then just hoofing it down to Georgetown. It's, uh, not a quick walk (my work is on 31st St.) but appears dramatically more reliable than fishing for the third bus. Might try M Street next week, for variety.

Being tired, I stayed home last night and watched Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society. Admittedly, it benefits on being able to draw from the characterization and atmosphere of the GitS:SAC TV show, but honestly, I think I like it even better than the original movie. I'll definitely pick up a copy, sooner or later.

"The White House has refused to give Congress documents about the death of former NFL player Pat Tillman, with White House counsel Fred F. Fielding saying that certain papers relating to discussion of the friendly-fire shooting 'implicate Executive Branch confidentiality interests.'"

Good read: Dan Froomkin on the President's press conference, trying to shut the door on Libby, and more.

Rosa Brooks with some straightforward questions on Iraq.
