attention deficit updates

So it's been a busy week at work, and I'm flying today. And it's busier still. And I'm working all weekend. This will simply rule.

I've also reached a zen state with my car and its failing brakes. All is at peace.

This is typically the hottest week of the year, which explains why I'm sweating through all my clothes on the way home from work.

Last night was delivery Chinese with Selene; we chatted and caught up on The 4400. Good times.

(Let me also note that Thursdays at Giant is Beef Stew Day; it's like a national holiday *every week.*)

Today's awesome distraction: the third edition of The Worst Album Covers of All Time.

Tonight: Bebe. Stargates. Maybe defeating some villians in Pinnacle City.
Tomorrow: Work. Bebe. Justice League finale.
Sunday: Work. Evening now up in the air, as my family isn't great at the coordinating-plans thing.

(no subject)

Good read: Andrew Cohen on journalist shield laws.

Is Bush obsessed with exercise?

* NYTimes analysis of China's wacky new currency policy.
* Dottie Lynch on the return of the Karl and Bob Show.
* Democrats discuss upcoming questions for Roberts.
* Roberts' wife, the antiabortion feminist.
* Congress moves to extend daylight savings time. The fools.
* Another victory for journalism: fixing the Nationals' outfield.
* Reviewing Jon Stewart's new set - and other changes to the show.
