Wonder what NASA was up to in the 1960's?

From 1969:
The Ithacus (diagram.)

"Douglas also proposed a military VTVL SSTO for transporting troops and cargo -- the Ithacus. The Ithacus plan was apparently inspired by general Wallace M. Greene, who proposed a rapid-strike batallion of 1200 soldiers. These 'rocket commandos' would have been deployed by an intercontinental rocket so the need for overseas US Army bases might be greatly reduced. The gigantic 6400-tonne Ithacus Sr. was supposed to serve this strategic need."

Yesterday turned out to be surprisingly efficient. Got a bunch of bills paid, laundry done, etc. Didn't get lunch with a certain someone, but there's always a next time.

And the big news: ordered my new cell phone. Shazam! I'm hoping to keep the same number, but we'll see.

Dinner with Operative X, followed by Miss Congeneality 2. Which was, uh, pretty bad. A couple bright spots, but too few and too far in between. Lost my scrap of paper with the trailers before it, do y'all are spared this time. They were all pretty lame anyways. This is a bad year for movies, so far.

OMG I need new icons STAT.
