Three words: Nations Gothics Club Conga Line.

My back and feet ache from dancing. I've got a stupid plastic bracelet on, indicating I am not straightedge. I smell of sweat, booze and secondhand smoke. All of these factors point to an 85% successful night of enclubbing.

It was rather keen, I got to see lots of people I haven't seen in too long (including but not limited to alumiere, castironskillet, gelfjenn, ikirus, and prakriti,) plus a lot of other close friends, and a cast of gothics thousands. I didn't talk to any of them nearly enough, and once again spent the latter half of the evening on the dance floor, sobering up. C'est magnifique.

I'm thinking I need to make this at least a monthly thing, for me. For those keeping score at home, this means once a month, I want to hit the Nations or a concert, do the kara-oke, and hit a Heroclix or other gaming tournament. And hit NYC or some other not-too-far destination every now and then. Busy like a bee, I tell you.

quick notes

Here's two NPR audio files worth a listen:
The first is by Walter Cronkite on Edward R. Murrow and McCarthy.
The second is actually their entire series on the Blackmun papers, with remarkable insight into the internal workings of the Supreme Court.

BBC report on how pop culture has embraced the inter-web.

Counterpoint to people using Biblical arguments against homosexuality. And a few for the Bible-quoters discussing banning gay marriage.
