(no subject)

Wednesday, Dona Quixote arranged a tasty steak dinnar at Sullivan's in Laurel. Mostly for ex-co-workers who rock, but I smuggled in RQ and one bebe. Food was acceptable, company was above-par.

Got home yesterday, sat on a bebe, read comic books. Watched Smallville [ehn.] and promptly fell asleep on the couch. Where I slept until... 3:30 am. At which point I crawled upstairs, and *still* managed to wake up late. Le sigh.

Did get some bad news, a friend who's had bad job luck recently just lost her job. If you hear of any decent admin-type work, or other good openings, let me know and I will pass it along.

Oh, but that reminds me. Someone I know is looking for a senior Unix sysadmin to work at the Department of Labor. Would also involve a little management, and Solaris experience would be handy. If this might float your boat, drop me a line and I will get you in touch with them.

Crazy new movie that hit my event horizon: Kingdom in Twilight.

Some pics of (young) David Bowie from a new exhibit in London.

Wizards? WTF. I know girls are a mostly-untapped gaming market, but seriously. (Courtesy Magistrate.)
