Last night, met up with Operative X for a tasty dinner, followed by A Mighty Wind down at the Landmark. Hands down, my favorite Christopher Guest film evar. I was cracking up left and right, and Eugene Levy and Harry Shearer deserve nominations for their work. Gold.

Afterwards, finally sat down to watch The Animatrix. It was good, but not as strong as I was hoping it would be, either animation-wise or story-wise. Recommended for Matrix fans, not so much for the general public. I'm also questioning how canon some of the stories are, as they definitely change the backstory, sometimes in uninviting ways. However, the short "The Detective" is *awesome* and I hope to see it get a nomination next year also.

After that, up way too late with some shenanigans, exercise (?!) and great conversation with a close friend. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Tonight, bebe night! [Incidentally, bebe night means company is more than welcome to drop by and visit with the lil' tater tot and myself. Just gimme a ring first.]
