* How to deal with one ig fact: "Globalization created a surplus of labor."
* The right wing has done an excellent job of misinforming about Obamacare.
* The BBC looks at the modern myth of small-town America.

I wonder how many of Canada's poor children are Aboriginal. Hmm.

The article on small-town America was obvious glurge. I'm suspicious of any article that speaks about small southern towns but fails to even mention the inherent racism. Yes, bliss can be achieved if you only hang out in your comfort zone, and we all know what equates to bliss.

The surplus of labor article IMO is dead on. I came to a similar conclusion on my own that the 21st century was going to be one of diminishing opportunity and that full employment was no longer going to be an expectation. The two-income family will become a thing of the past because one of the two individuals will be out of work at any given time. The most financially successful families will be comprised of two (or more) individuals in different career fields. The social and political implications I'll leave to the speculative-fiction writers.
