Also, in 1949, Truman announced the Soviets had tested a nuclear bomb.
And in 1952, Nixon delivered the "Checkers" speech.

Oh, and happy autumnal equinox, everyone. It was wonderfully fall-ish this morning. Cold and very rainy! Which means I got to wear my leather jacket, and feel cool.

Last night, watched Stitch: the Movie, which is a direct-to-video sequel to the best movie of last year. Well, actually, it's less a sequel than a pilot for the new show they will have on the Disney Channel. Anyways. It wasn't as good as the original, but had some good stuff in it. Worth seeing.
