git on up!
Book club was good fun! People had lots to talk about for the book (Homicide.) Ooooh, and next month/early October is gonna be a treat: we are reading House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, which has been on my to-read shelf for over a year. I'm quite excited, and will start reading tomorrow. Of course, it may suck and I will cry, but hey.

Damnit. The Mars Perihelic will be at 5:51 AM tomorrow morning. Very awkward time to wake up for, yet a grand idea to stay awake for! And really, can I risk angering the God of War?

If you have a little free time, let me recommend the long essay BTVS/ATS and The Pitfalls of The TV Medium. Nominally written for Whedon fans, it is chock full of information on the process of writing a television show, and who contributes what, etc. I think even non BUffy/Angel fans would get something out of it. Great work.

Did I mention get your war on has been updated?

Why is Goblin cool? He gave me his only Oliver Queen clix! I declare him "The Man" until he's dead or I find someone better.

Also, some facts about Rev. Moon (courtesy Callico.)

Just so you're not terribly disappointed, Mars rises at 8:15pm and will set at 6:38am 'tonight.' At 5:51 it's going to be so close to the horizon you'll need a nearly totally unobstructed view to see it. I'd suggest some time earlier. Surise is at 6:29 so will slightly affect the viewing at the moment of 5:15, but not horribly so I'd bet.

Yeah, I know. I'm just greedy.

It's still gonna look like a big orange speck, unless you have a really cool telescope.
