930

Great read - "Welcome to the Club: An oral history of D.C.'s 9:30 club on its 30th anniversary"

Side notes:

The old 930 Club was one of the first venues I started going to regularly for show, back in the day. It was a cramped deathtrap, there were very few 'good' places to be able to see the band playing, and all that gave it a lot of charm.

The "new" 930 is actually one of my favorite venues to see concerts these days (now that Nation is gone.) It's just hard for me to justify what they're charging to see, well, pretty much anyone they're showing these days.
