"We know we can effect positive change outside government at this moment in time on another scale and actually make a difference for our priorities," Palin said in a news conference alongside a lake in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska.

a.k.a., Fox News will be paying her more.

Here's an MSNBC video of the press conference that you don't have to register to watch:

Ahh, Michele Bachmann.

"My district is not going to be properly counted because ACORN doesn't like Republicans. I am going to refuse to fill out my census form because I am Republican. By expressing this, I hope to encourage fellow Republicans in my district not to fill out theirs, even though I can't say such a thing directly. And when Republicans in my district don't fill out their census forms, and when our households aren't counted so our population is ranked low and our district is reshaped to include households from neighboring districts - which may or may not be more Democratic, but for the sake of my argument let's say they will be - my point will be proven that ACORN is corrupt."

Gotta love armchair logic.

This line gets me, every time: "By expressing this, I hope to encourage fellow Republicans in my district not to fill out theirs, even though I can't say such a thing directly."

YOU DID JUST DAY THAT DIRECTLY. RIGHT. THERE.
