depressing depression

When they talk about the recession, the economic downturn, whatever they are calling it now, they toss around numbers on unemployment percentages and the like, what the stimulus will accomplish, housing foreclosures, etc. When you hear numbers and percentages, keep in mind it's everyday Americans being affected. BAGnewsNotes had a couple of reminders - here and here - that are really the personification of this sadness and this fear. Man o man. It's not numbers, it's our neighbors, our friends, our family.
