the legacy thing
"This is the end of President Bush's legacy. He's done. He's through... You know, I like President Bush personally, I think he's done some good things in the war on terror. But he will now go down in history alongside Jimmy Carter as an ineffectual leader, particularly in the last four years, with Iraq and now the economy imploding. And I'll tell you the reason why: it's poor leadership on his part and the people that he picked to run certain things have been disastrous. And no leadership and now Americans are getting hurt."

Rats. Ship. Sinking. Metaphor.

Although, to be honest, I equate anything that comes out of O'Reilly's mouth as automatically false.

The catch is the best spin on the last eight years O'Reilly can hope for is that Carter was as bad as Bush, and while I never had to wait in a gas line, that is bullshit.

The trick I use to divine that is to figure that everything B. is saying is a lie, and then work backwards from that.
