Terrible Movie Night lived up to its name, but a good time was had. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale is, in fact, not very good. Stolen liberally from the Lord of the Rings movies, it's a pretty lame movie, featuring: one house that appears to be in about three villages, the 11th and 12th Legions, which comprise about a third of an army of the kingdom of Eb (or Edd, or wait no one cares), and Burt freakin' Reynolds, who looks like he's on the verge of telling everyone off as he sleepwalks through his scenes.

But it wasn't all bad! Pleasant surprised were the costume department's love of the cravat, and Matthew Lillard stealing every scene he's in with a wacky, over-the-top performance. Also, Uwe Boll puts together a masterful puzzle, where the audience has to try to piece together exactly what's going on, and where, as not a single scene isn't intercut with another scene happening at the same time, whether it be a simple dinner conversation or the movie's 'dramatic' climax. Fun for the whole family!

Glad everyone could make it out, was good seeing folks. I'll try to time another TMN for September. Maybe a Friday one this time? Lemme know.
