comic book geekery: Doctor 13!

So, the next graphic novel I will be pimping for the fanboy crowd is Doctor 13: Architects & Mortality. It's, um, hard to describe what it's about, but it's as goofy as Nextwave but more coherent (sort of) and with a bizarre theme on the nature of continuity. It's the perfect companion to the current spate of Crises the DCU is suffering through. And it's jam-packed with obscure comics references, cheap jokes, and one Nazi gorilla. And pirates. But no Yetis. You can't go wrong.

And mind you, this was originally the *backup* story in the Tales of the Unexpected revival from 2006.

So. If you're in to that sort of thing, give it a shot.
