So, yes.

In the past week, our sole working car died and our Tivo gave up the ghost. These are unacceptable. We can almost get by without the car, except, you know, the Z. commuting, and any time we want to visit our friends and family without tricking them over to our place. The Tivo, while we didn't have it up and working long, was a very welcome addition to our homebound and increasingly frugal lifestyle.

In the past few years, I've given up regular karaoke, clubbing, and movies at the theater. My gaming and comic book purchases have been slashed rather dramatically. And frankly, I'm getting tired of giving things up. Retrograde Mercury isn't even due for another month and a half.

Anyways. Rental car is cute. M. and I are discussing how to salvage the financial situation. All very stressy. I'm asking for a less stressful week, this week.

And no, not everything was bad last week. Caught up with friends a couple nights, and snuck in a pinch of gaming. But still. Looking forward to happier times ahead, even if they will be even more homebound than usual...

(Oh, and if you hear about anyone giving away free cars, let me know.)
