Thursday evening, M. and I snuck out to see Jumper. Enjoyable! Not good, mind you, but fun, like a summer action flick. They give it just enough of a backstory to get you thinking of questions, and then no attempt is made to answer them. See also: themes about privacy and responsibility. But instead, they packed in a nice amount of action and excitement, so it all works out. And a very cool look at people with superpowers (note I didn't say 'superheroes.') Anwyays. Worth a rental.
New trailers:
* Meet the Browns - Tyler Perry strikes again. I do love Angela Bassett, but not enough to get me to this dramedy.
* 10,000 B.C. - Ooh, lookin' sharp. Hot Stone Age action! Definitely for the big screen.
* Semi-Pro - It's like they're just going down a list of sports that Will Ferrell can do movies about.
* Street Kings - Heh. Keanu Reeves in a cop drama? Maybe. Added bonus: Hugh Laurie?
* The Happening - Feh. I keep getting burned by M. Night Shyamalan, but it's all apocalyptic-looking, so, here I go again.
