Secrets and Lies - Friday Night Super Knockout
Tangentially related, I didn't know Capt. America's name was Steve Rogers until a technician in my lab by the same name was given a Captain America tee-shirt as a gift by his departing supervisor this week.
As a tangent, and relating to a conversation
cheetahmaster and I were having a couple of weeks ago, "I didn't know Capt. America's name was Steve Rogers..." is precisely why Marvel might actually be able to pass the mantle along to a new character like Bucky.
Poor Bucky, just the next government employee destined to toil in anonymity (if not obscurity).
Also forgot: go Captain America, my daddy was a prison guard (although the preferred nomenclature is "correctional/corrections officer").

I do like the idea that Bucky would feel driven to live up to the ideals of Captain America/Steve Rogers. Cap was his hero, his mentor. Steve already lived those ideals, which really didn't give him any room to grow (which may be why it was so difficult to write good Cap stories). Bucky, trying to live up to those impossibly high moral standards and ideals, could make for some great story-telling. Are you listening Marvel?

You've got me there.
I'm just concerned some writer five years from now will decide to bring back Steve, though.

There is that always that danger.
One can only live in hope.

I do wonder when Abomination became such a wuss. He used to go toe to toe with the Hulk. Cap may be strong, but he's not in the "knock Hulk/Abomination down" league.
I do, however, love the "And that's because I like to hit people!" That begs to be made into an icon. (And possibly the signature/motto for one or two women I know.)

a.) The Abomination is like Worf on Next Generation. His job is to look big and tough, and then get beat up by the plot point of the week, so that we can see how strong the plot point is.
b.) In the above screenshot, I left out that the Abomination was first blasted by Iron Man, then zapped by Storm, before Cap and Giant-Girl pile on. So, not that bad.

giant girl is awesome, and the kids' avengers is a blast.
Seriously, yes. The Marvel Adventures line is consistently a good read.
